MHP (Code Red) protocol

In this we will: 

• Provide background information as to why it is critical that staff are aware of the CODE RED protocol and are able to react appropriately in an emergency.
• Explain key elements of the protocol, including when and how it should be activated.
• Explain how to access haemodynamic monitoring
• Explain how to obtain blood transfusion support
• Highlight consequences of major blood volume replacement
